Wee Poh Construction Co. (Pte) Ltd (WPC) was incorporated in 1977 with its main business in the construction of Civil Engineering Projects in the public sector. It was a subsidiary company of Wee Poh Holding (WPH) which is a Public Listed Company. Due to the restructuring of WPH in 2004 which saw the company switching its focus to other business segment, Ho Lee Group (HLG) saw an opportunity to acquire WPC to shore up its construction capability.

HLG is in the business of property investment, development, general building construction and sales and rental of construction machinery and equipment. The core business of HLG is however in General Building Construction and carries out this business function via its wholly owned subsidiary company Ho Lee Construction Pte Ltd (HLC), a Grade A1 Contractor registered with BCA under the workhead of CW-1 and CW02 and Grade L5 under the workhead of CR07. HLC is also with a GB1 Licensed Builders under General Builder Class 1 as well as SB(SS) Licensed Builders under Specialist Builder (Structural Steel).

The acquisition of WPC was completed in 2005 and WPC’s registered office is currently at 200 Jalan Sultan #04-25, Textile Centre, Singapore 199018, sharing the same office with HLC. WPC has also been restructured by HLG and is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of HLC and it is a Grade C3 Contractor registered with BCA under the workhead of CW01 and is also a GB1 Licensed Builders under General Builder Class 1.

After the acquisition and restructuring, WPC had completed several projects in the capacity of specialist trade sub-contractor and is also the Main Contractor for a purposed built 2 Storey Ramp Up Single User Factory at Tuas South Avenue 3/2 Tuas Bay Drove (Lot 03965L MK07).

WPC has also in 2012, secured a project to construct 394 Units of Executive Condominium Housing Development at Upper Serangoon Road/Upper Serangoon View. Moving forward, WPC foresee the opportunity to acquire more projects given the current robust construction industry and realized the need to put in place an Integrated Quality and Safety Management System in order to ensure the deliverance of quality construction products, built a safety culture within the company and be responsible to our environment.

The endeavors of WPC will be fully supported by the Management of HLC and HLG.
