Building Knowledge Through Experience – SRC Learning Journeys to SKK Paint and Waste-to-Energy Plant
April 2026
Strengthening learning culture through industry exposure and knowledge sharing.
As part of Ho Lee Group’s commitment to continuous learning and staff development, the Social & Recreation Committee (SRC) organised two meaningful learning journeys in 2026, providing employees with valuable exposure to industry practices and sustainable technologies.
In January 2026, SRC organised a learning visit to SKK (Paint), where participants gained insights into advanced paint systems, product applications, and quality standards used in the construction industry. The session provided a better understanding of material performance, application processes, and the importance of proper surface protection in building works.
The visit also encouraged knowledge sharing and practical learning, strengthening participants’ appreciation of the role of finishing materials in delivering quality construction outcomes.
In April 2026, SRC arranged a second learning journey to a Waste-to-Energy (WTE) facility, where participants were introduced to Singapore’s integrated approach to sustainable waste management and energy recovery.
The visit offered valuable insights into how waste is transformed into energy, contributing to environmental sustainability and supporting Singapore’s long-term resource management strategy. It also highlighted the importance of sustainability considerations within the built environment and construction industry.
These learning journeys reflect Ho Lee Group’s ongoing efforts to promote continuous learning, industry awareness, and cross-functional exposure among employees. By providing opportunities beyond the workplace, the Group aims to enhance knowledge, strengthen engagement, and foster a culture of growth and collaboration.
